1. Policy

Cree Lighting, a brand of Feit Electric, is committed to transparency about its data collection and use practices. This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies on the Cree Lighting flashlight website (the "Website" or "Services") and your related choices. This Cookie Policy is a statement about privacy and our use of cookies and does not constitute a contract or agreement.

Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in our Privacy Policy and/or Terms of Service, as applicable.

We place our own cookies (first-party cookies) and also use third-party cookies, which come from a domain other than the one you are visiting. In general, we use cookies and other tracking technologies to:

  • Help you navigate the Website and complete purchases.
  • Analyze your use of the Services.
  • Support our promotional and marketing efforts, including behavioral advertising.
  • Enable contact, support, review, and feedback forms.
  • Let you share content through social media.

2. Cookies Explained

A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website asks your browser to store on your computer or device in order to remember information about you, such as your language or currency preference or login information. We may use similar techniques, such as pixels and web beacons, which we refer to collectively as "cookies."

Cookies serve many purposes. For example, they can show that you have previously visited the Website, identify which parts of the Website you may be most interested in, and improve your experience by storing your preferences during your visit.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set only in response to actions you take that amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the Website may not work. We use these cookies to:

  • Remember products you add to your shopping cart.
  • Remember information you enter when paying or ordering, to streamline additional orders.
  • Pass information from one page to the next, for example when completing support forms or surveys.
  • Store your preferences, such as language, location, and currency.
  • Read your browser and device settings to optimize how the Website displays.
  • Detect and prevent misuse of the Services and help keep checkout secure.
  • Load the Website consistently to maintain accessibility.
  • Offer options to store your log-in details to streamline your access to the Services.

4. Performance Cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of the Services. They help us learn which pages are most and least popular and how visitors move around the Website. The information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site. We use these cookies to:

  • Count visitors to pages on the Website.
  • Measure how long each visitor spends on each page.
  • Determine the order in which visitors view pages.
  • Identify the website a visitor came from and the website they go to after leaving.
  • Assess which parts of the Website need improvement and optimize the Website.

5. Targeting Cookies

These cookies are set through the Website by our advertising partners. They may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you Cree Lighting ads, or other relevant ads, on other sites and applications you visit. They work by uniquely identifying your browser and device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will not see our targeted advertising across different websites. We use these cookies to:

  • Keep track of which advertisements you have already been shown, so you are not always shown the same ones.
  • Keep track of how many visitors click on an advertisement.
  • Keep track of how many orders are placed as a result of an advertisement.

Even if these cookies are not used, you may still be shown advertisements that do not use cookies. See the privacy policies of the third-party advertising services we may use through the Website:

6. Content Sharing and Third-Party Service Cookies

Certain Website content (for example, articles, pictures, and videos) can be shared or liked through social media buttons, and the Website embeds third-party services such as our storefront platform and customer reviews. Cookies from these third parties make those features work. They may also collect your personal information for their own purposes. We have no control over how they use it, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies:

7. Managing Your Preferences

Where required by applicable law, we obtain your consent before setting cookies other than strictly necessary cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner on the Website, where available, or through your browser settings. You may accept all cookies or only certain ones. If you disable our cookies in your browser, parts of the Website may not work. For example, you may have difficulty logging in or making online purchases.

Cree Lighting follows the standards set out in our Privacy Policy and does not monitor or respond to Do Not Track browser requests.

8. Changes and Contact

We may amend this Cookie Policy, and the cookies it describes, at any time and without notice. The updated Cookie Policy takes effect when posted. If you do not agree to the revised Cookie Policy, you should change your preferences or stop using the Services. By continuing to use the Services after changes take effect, you agree to the revised Cookie Policy.

If you have questions or comments about this Cookie Policy, contact us at privacy@feit.com.
