Brightness & Lumens
How many lumens do I need in a flashlight?
It depends on use, not just raw output. Everyday carry works well around 1,000–1,500 lumens, home and vehicle use around 1,500–2,000, and search & rescue or tactical use ben...
Brightness & Lumens
What's the difference between peak beam intensity and throw distance?
Peak beam intensity (measured in candela) is how concentrated the beam is at its brightest point. Throw distance (in meters) is how far that beam travels before it fades to moon...
Brightness & Lumens
Is a higher lumen count always better?
Not necessarily. More lumens means more brightness, but also faster battery drain and more heat. A 4,000-lumen light run on Turbo empties its battery much quicker than the same ...
Brightness & Lumens
What's the difference between lumens and throw distance?
Lumens measure total light output; throw distance measures how far a focused beam reaches. A high-lumen, wide-beam light can actually throw less far than a lower-lumen light wit...
Brightness & Lumens
Does a brighter flashlight drain the battery faster?
Yes. Output and runtime trade off directly — Turbo mode maximizes brightness at the cost of runtime, while Eco or Low modes stretch battery life significantly.
Brightness & Lumens
Can a flashlight be too bright, or blind someone?
Yes. At close range, very bright lights can temporarily disrupt vision, which is why strobe modes are used defensively. Never shine a light at someone’s eyes without cause.

Every X-Series model charges over USB-C with fast charging. No proprietary dock or cable is required, just plug in any standard USB-C charger. On the X14 and XP40, the USB-C por...

Cell size scales with the light: an 18350 in the X14, an 18650 in the X16, and high-capacity 21700 cells in the X30 and XP40.

How long does it take to fully charge?
